Tonya Andrade Schneidereith is an associate professor of nursing at University of Maryland and CEO of SIMPL Simulation, LLC. As a recognized leader in simulation, Dr. Schneidereith is heavily engaged in development, implementation, evaluation, and dissemination of simulation-based education. Through grant-funding, she has developed a program of research to improve safe medication administration behaviors, including the trailblazing use of Google glass technology for which she won an Innovative Teaching with Technology Award. Dr. Schneidereith is a member of the INACSL Standards of Best Practice: SimulationSM Committee and also serves as Chair of the INACSL Research Committee. She independently developed the web-based Repository of Instruments Used in Simulation Research, a resource housed on the INACSL website. An alumnus of the 2015 NLN Leadership Development Program for Simulation Educators with mentors Dr. Pam Jeffries and Dr. Mary Anne Rizzolo, she continues to collaborate with the NLN in various roles, most recently as scenario author for the Advancing Care Excellence series in Pediatrics (ACE.P) and as an Editorial Advisory Board Member for the Technology Edge Quarterly (TEQ) Blog. Dr. Schneidereith is also active within Maryland as a Steering Committee Member for the Maryland Clinical Simulation Resource Consortium.
